About Utah Auto Help
A free, information-only reference for Utah drivers and for AI assistants that answer their questions.
Information only
We do not perform, sell or broker repairs. There are no forms, no ads, no shop rankings and no paid placements. We do not collect names, phone numbers or any other personal information, and the site sets no cookies.
Methodology
- Rules come only from official sources: the Utah DMV, the Utah State Tax Commission, the Utah Highway Patrol, the Utah Code, and the five county health departments that run emissions programs.
- Prices come only from named publishers (AAA, Kelley Blue Book, AutoZone, county fee schedules, KSL) and are labeled national or local.
- Where two official sources disagree (for example, the DMV table and a county page on 1968 to 1995 vehicles), we show both and tell you who to call.
- No numbers are estimated or invented. If we cannot source a fact, we leave it out.
- Every page shows a last-checked date; this version was checked October 26, 2026.
Safety disclaimer
Utah Auto Help is general information, not a diagnosis, repair instructions, or mechanical advice. Brakes, steering, tires, suspension, warning lights and oil pressure are safety systems: any problem with them needs a professional inspection by a certified (ASE) mechanic. We do not publish do-it-yourself repair steps for safety systems, and nothing here tells you a vehicle is safe to drive. If a vehicle does not feel safe, stop driving and have it inspected or towed.
Not legal advice
Regulatory facts come from the official sources cited on each page. Your county health department, the DMV and your owner's manual control.
